SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE SUNDAY!! Jan. 17th & Jan. 24th!

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is a day set aside by the pro-life movement for individuals and churches to honor God and His plan and purpose for every person.  It is an anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion 37 years ago.  On this day we are asking that you and your church would honor life by setting aside a time in your service to talk about this decision that has legalized the killing of over 50 million babies in America since it was made.

The CPC's have a 5-minute written presentation that could be given in your church in January or a new 11-minute CPC dvd presentation which is available to you as well.  If you wish to have someone come and speak (a few minutes or as the service main message) or would like to request the 5-minute presentation or the dvd, please contact Nancy at the Business Office (419-636-5692).  This day is an excellent time to remember the ministry of the CPC's, pray for our programs, and take a special offering to support our worthy cause.  We have packets of information that may be used for these special services, including the 5-min presentation, precious feet and hand pins ($3 suggested donation), a needs list, and brochures.

Steps for Life 2009 Raised $34,600 !!!

The 24th Annual Steps for Life Walkathon, held on Saturday, September 26th at Moore Park in Bryan was a fun and successful day with about 120 participants, including 50 registered walkers.  We give all the glory to God for the $34,600 that was raised to help meet the operational budget of the Community Pregnancy Centers.

The area in and near Jaycee Pavilion was filled with registrants, team members, kids playing games, Christian bands which played throughout the event, and interested onlookers from the area.  This year’s walk will provide much needed revenue for Bryan, Defiance, and Wauseon CPC’s, to assist in offering FREE services to anyone experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, help those suffering post-abortion trauma, those who require sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing, and those who qualify for obstetrical ultrasound.  CPC  also provides  Project Respect, an abstinence education program in the public schools  that teaches teens self-control in all situations including: drug and alcohol use, sexual activity, media and peer pressure.

Twenty-seven prizes were awarded to top fundraisers and those who won the four great drawing prizes. The prize winners, along with those who  won the drawing prizes are listed on page 2 of this LifeSaver.  The bands that played during the event were: Relentless, who lead worship at Christ Community Chruch;  The Life of Christian Cole, a Christian rock band made up of  men from the local area; and Life Changing Realities Church Worship Band, in Edgerton.

We received generous support from our underwriters, some of whom are: CE Electronics, Russ Watson Insurance and Financial, Sauder Farm Village and Barn Restaurant, SRT Orthotics, and Wilson Auction & Reality.

The Steps for Life event was blessed with over 50 volunteers all working together to support the CPC ministry and the services we provide.  We want to thank all who participated in the walk, whether as a walker, church group, business underwriter, walk sponsor, or site volunteer and all those who baked for our August pie sales at the Wal-Mart stores.  We are at a total of about $34,600 for the walkathon so far, including the $1641 raised at our bake sales and we praise God for His goodness in helping us to come that near to our $40,000 goal.  If you would like to make a donation toward the $5400 yet needed to reach our walk goal, please send your gift to CPC, 1410 W. High, Bryan, OH 43506.  If you still wish to earn a tee shirt or hooded sweatshirt, call 419-636-5692 for more information.  Thank You and God Bless You.

SPECIAL NOTE: Navy & lime tee shirts in sm, med, lg, and black and white tee shirts in sm, med, lg, and XL may be purchased for $10.  Black & white hooded sweatshirts in sm, med, lg, and XL may be purchased for $25 (limited supply on some).  Call the Bryan CPC to reserve yours TODAY!!
